Who is Karl Roy?
Karl Roy is a rock icon, pinoy funk "frontman of Kapatid band", he died due to cardiac arrest. Karl Roy death was announced this morning Tuesday, March 13, 2012.
This is a very news in entertainment industry because another rock icon has passed away. But I'm pretty sure just any other music icon Karl Roy memories will lives on, his music will continue to touch people lives.

Kapatid is fronted by the iconic Karl Roy (Advent Call and P.O.T.), he is also brother of Kevin Roy of Razorback. The band was originally made up of some of the industry's heavyweights: Nathan Azarcon (Bamboo) on bass, J-Hoon Balbuena (Kjwan) on drums, Ira Cruz (Passage and Bamboo) on rhythm guitars and the late Chico Molina on lead guitars. The band went on to release their first self-titled LP with hits songs "Prayer", "Pagbabalik ng Kwago" , "Visions" among others, in 2003 to great acclaim.

It is with deepest sadness that I share the news of Karl's passing. He was called Home today at 1:01 a.m. Manila time (Tuesday, March 13th), surrounded by those who loved him most - mommy, Keith, Kevin, Krys, his daughter Arianna, and our cousin Jack (Roy-Duavit).
"Please continue to pray for Karl. He brought so much joy to others but, unfortunately, did not have enough of it in this life. He's in a better place now, with Lolo Pepe, Lola Conching and Daddy."
