Out of the 70 ladies who battled it out in the competition held in Chengdu, China on Sunday, our very own Krista Kleiner made it to the top 15 of Miss International.
The singer/model-turned-beauty queen likewise finished fourth at the “50th Miss International Beauty Pageant” popularity poll. She got a total of 257, 214 votes. Posts from her official Facebook page also stated that, in several instances, she placed at number one in the poll during the voting period.
During the talent portion, Krista performed “Beauty Queen,” a song composed by her boyfriend, Jay R. According to GMA-7's "24 Oras," her beau was also in China as well as Krista’s mother to show their support for the young beauty queen.
The Miss International crown went to Miss Venezuela, Elizabeth Mosquera. Krista’s fellow Asians, Miss Thailand Piyaporn Deejing and Miss China Yuan SiYi, were named as first and second runners-up, respectively.
