Hacienda Luisita Supreme Court Decision in favor Tenants
Hacienda Luisita case or issue is heading towards a good results in favor of Hacienda Luisita tenants.
The huge agricultural estate 'Hacienda Luisita' owned by the family of President Benigno Aquino III, was ordered by the Supreme Court to be distributed to tenant farmers. Hacienda Luisita is almost 5,000 hectares of land and finally it will be given to all the farmer beneficiaries.
The high court’s decision was unanimous, 14-0, in favor of the tenants in a 56-page resolution penned by Associate Justice Presbitero Velasco and promulgated on November 23, Wednesday.
