Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Tony Romo and former Miss Missouri and sports reporter Candice Crawford are set to tie the knot today, Saturday, May 28, 6:30 p.m. at Arlington Hall on Turtle Creek Boulevard.

Candice Crawford, who is the sister of Gossip Girl‘s Chace Crawford, says they plan to keep the affair “as private and personal as possible”, but details of the highly-profile wedding are now the topics of entertainment sites and blogs.

The Courtship
Romo and Crawford started dating in 2009, just two months after the popular football player got separated from pop star Jessica Simpson. Prior to his dating Simpson, Romo also dated American Idol winner Carrie Underwood.

The Wedding details
Crawford’s ring is a “platinum diamond ring with an eight carat, radiant cut, fancy yellow diamond with one carat of round diamonds around the center stone,” as revealed by Aslam Bakshi, owner of Diamond Images USA, Inc. in Miami. “The center stone is very difficult to find and rare, but it is one of the most popular shapes today,” she added. The ring is estimated to have cost Tony a whopping $475,000 (around 20 million in Philippine Peso).

The wedding will take place at Arlington Hall, the historic building in Dallas’ Oak Lawn neighborhood.
According to Dallas events planner Todd Fiscus who is also the organizer of the Romo-Crawford Nuptial, the wedding is set to be exciting and lively.

“They’re just really neat people, so I think the party is going (to) have an effervescent feel to it,” Fiscus told CBSDFW.com. “We did lots of man food. I have a lot of football players to feed.”
Fiscus’ weddings can run between $500 and $1,500 a person, and since the Romo-Crawford wedding is a high-profile one, it’s expected to cost around $7,000,000. (Source: CBSDFW.com)
Fiscus, who has designed parties for Grammy-winning artists, said the reception is going to be incredible. However, He did not name any artist who will perform.

The Guest List
According to CBS Sports, the entire Cowboys roster is expected to attend the wedding and reception. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has also confirmed his invite. Jones recently received permission from the NFL to attend despite the league being in a lockout.
“I’ve gotten special permission,” Jones told ESPN’s Ed Werder. “But more than anything, (I got the) right ticket from him and his fianceé – Romo’s wife-to-be. (It’s) one of prettiest invitations I’ve ever seen,” he added.

According to the invitations, guests must arrive promptly at 6:30 P.M. because Romo has added extra security for the wedding ceremony. The invitation also requests that guests refrain from bringing cell phone cameras or other recording/photographic devices to the reception. This would seem to be an attempt to prevent unofficial photos from winding up on the Internet. The will stay at the Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek.

The Wedding Gift Wish List
The highest priced gift Romo and Crawford are asking for is a $550 Dyson vacuum cleaner. Also in their wish list is the Wusthof 8-piece knife set which costs $399.99. The knife sharpener is a little bit more affordable at $19.99. Both the knife set and sharpener are available at Macy’s. The cheapest item on the list, on the other hand, is a condiment cup at Crate & Barrel. Price: 95 cents.

The Honeymoon
“This lockout has been quite a dent in the honeymoon idea,” Candice told WFAA-TV. “We’ll see. We haven’t really gotten there yet. We’re taking a day at a time with the lockout. We (are not) even sure if we’re gonna get to go (on) one.”
