Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA)
PAGASA is the government sector in the philippines that provides typhoon and flood warnings, public weather forecasts and advisories, meteorological, astronomical, climatological, and other specialized information and etc.

Philippines is one of the countries in Southeast ASIA that is part of the so-called typhoon belt. Especially, this year it was reported by PAGASA that alot of typhoon will hit the country. Thus, PAGASA is always giving the people an up to date Weather forecasts,report or information about typhoon and other form of calamities.
PAGASA warned the people to be always prepared and alert to avoid accident.

PAGASA Typhoon Juan Update/Forecast


 Issued At: 5:00 a.m., 17 October 2010

Valid Beginning: 5:00 a.m. today until 5:00 a.m. tomorrow

Synopsis:

At 4:00 a.m. today, the center of Typhoon "JUAN" was located based on satellite and surface data at 630 km East of Aparri, Cagayan (18.7°N 128.2°E) with maximum sustained winds of 160 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 195 kph. Forecast to move West at 24 kph.

Forecast:

Cagayan including Calayan and Babuyan Group of Islands, and Isabela will experience stormy weather with rough to very rough seas. The rest of Northern Luzon will have rains and gusty winds. The rest of the country will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast to north will prevail over rest of Luzon and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the northeast to northwest with slight to moderate seas.
